As a multiple cat owner, I’ve been on the search for the best mess for years now. I had settled for Scoop Away, a superior cat litter that asserts: maximum odor control, maximum clumping strength, and also to be multiple cat formulated. I wash my litter boxes at least every day. I wanted another but I had been too lazy to research any further. You may also interested in: Self Cleaning Litter Boxes
All that changed once I emailed a pregnant cat. While I waited for the birth of their kittens, I see that clumping cat litter dust could be harmful to the newborn kittens. This was motivation enough for me. I wasn’t fond of them, especially the crystal kind.
My favorite so far is World’s Best Cat Litter, a clumping litter that’s made out of corn therefore it wouldn’t harm the developing kittens. World’s Best Cat Litter asserts to scoop the simplest. I feel that to be authentic. They also claim it is safe for humans and pets since it’s made out of natural ingredients without any extra silica or chemicals. What I find rather significant is how this specific brand is 100% biodegradable hence it does not harm our environment. As an aside, it is likewise septic-tank safe and flushable.
After using this type of mess for a few weeks, I noticed a couple of important things. First off, it is lighter than many clumping ones I’ve ever used. It’s not quite as mild as the crystals but it’s much lighter than clay clumping litters. Unfortunately, my main issue with this type of mess was the odor. Even though I bought the multiple cat household formula, it soon became apparent the odor was building up. The corn becomes saturated and unless you dispose of and clean out the litter boxes in their entirety, your entire household will be permeated by a persistent musty odor of corn mixed with kitty fesses and urine.
Since I pumped up, I’m still using World’s Best Cat Litter, however I am using it in combination with distinct baking soda established odor control powders, and we are all breathing a little better. That should not be the case however. When I had been using Scoop Away, I seldom had an odor problem.
I’m going to keep using World’s Best Cat Litter for a couple more weeks, while my kittens are still growing and growing their own lungs, but I will switch back to Scoop Away as soon as possible.
Think about yours, weigh the pros and the cons I introduced you personally and choose for yourselves. I honestly wanted World’s Best Cat Litter would be the ONE for me, since it is so eco and cat friendly, but I draw the line to the odor issue.
